Students may come in Casual Uniform (St. Luke shirt with jeans) on Thursday. The following first through fifth grade students were able to test and meet their Accelerated Reader goals for September!  The stars indicate the top point earner in each grade.

Second Grade

Fifth Grade

All of the students in the second grade made their goals in September! Special congratulations go to fifth-grader Teresa, who earned the most points this month out of all the 1st-5th grade classes.  In second place was fifth-grader Jaihan and in third place was second-grader Joshua.

Parents:  If you can help with the AR party on Thursday, we need cookies, napkins, juice and cups.  Please send donations to Mrs. Heaton on Thursday morning. The party will be at 1:30 in the Cafeteria. Safe Environment trained volunteers are needed to help serve and supervise. Thank you!

Monday's Homework and Notes

Safe Environment Training
We are hoping to reach the goal of having 100% of our class parents certified as safe environment trained. By reaching this goal, all of the children can enjoy having their parents participate in field trips and school events. The deadline for training is next Tuesday, October 2nd. Computers will be available at that time for doing the online renewals and there will be a training session for new trainees. Renewals can also be done anywhere by going to http://cathdal.org/pages/a-safe-environment, but must be completed by October 2nd. If you complete your renewal online, please email or bring the verification to Mrs. Carruth as soon as possible.
