-Tomorrow is Fair Day. School dismisses at noon. There will be no ESD and no lunch. Please bring a snack.
-To make it easier to carry to and from classrooms, snacks and drink containers should be brought in some type of bag or lunch box. A plastic grocery bag is fine.

Looking Ahead
Morning Prayer
The second graders have received several compliments (and a treat from Mrs. Carruth) for their leading of the prayers over the last two weeks. Thank you for getting them there on time. Thursday will be the last day of our turn.
Friday-Mass
Please join us for Mass this Friday. Our first group of Disciples' List nominees will be announced. The virtue this month is Honesty.
Monday-Living Rosary
We practiced for the Living Rosary today. Please make plans to join us on Monday, October 1st, at 9 a.m. in front of the church.
Tuesday-Safe Environment Training
We are hoping to reach the goal of having 100% of our class parents certified as safe environment trained. By reaching this goal, all of the children can enjoy having their parents participate in field trips and school events. The deadline for training is next Tuesday, October 2nd. Computers will be available at that time for doing the online renewals and there will be a training session for new trainees. Renewals can also be done anywhere by going to http://cathdal.org/pages/a-safe-environment, but must be completed by October 2nd. If you complete your renewal online, please email or bring the verification to Mrs. Carruth as soon as possible.

Second graders will read the readings and petitions and bring up the gifts. Please help your child practice his or her part and please make plans to join us at the 8 am Mass.

Accelerated Reader List
Through the suggestion of one of the parents, I have added a link for our Accelerated Reader Quiz list. The link takes you to a Google Doc spreadsheet which lists the quizzes owned by the school. Although you cannot search or sort it online, you can download it as an Excel sheet. Then it should be searchable and sortable. Please let me know if you have any difficulty accessing it.
