Field Trip

If you are driving on the field trip to Safety Town on Monday, April 29, we will need a copy of your driver’s license and insurance card.  Please stop by the office on Friday or on Monday morning to leave these copies with the office.  Thank you for helping us.  At this point we have about 5 drivers (more than we need) so we will ask parents to ride together.

For students under the age of eight, a booster seat is required unless the child is taller than 4 feet 9 inches. If your child has not turned eight, please send a booster seat on Monday.

Please send extra drinks in your child’s sack lunch. Please remember: no glass, no soda, and no candy.

DVD orders should be turned in no later than Friday, April 26th. Let me know if you need another order form.

Picture orders should be brought with you on Saturday, April 27th, and given directly to the photographers.

May Crowning note

May Crowning

Next Wednesday, May 1st, at 2 p.m., we will have May Crowning. The First Communion students will be part of the ceremony. Your child should bring his or her First Communion outfit to school on Wednesday morning. They must wear their uniform to school. (Don’t forget to pack nice shoes and socks or hose also.) If you can attend, please do come. It is a lovely ceremony.  I will need help getting the children dressed, starting at 1:30 p.m., if you are able to come early to assist me.

First Communion Reminder

This Saturday, we will be celebrating the sacrament of First Communion. Please continue to pray for the children as they make their final preparations.

First Communion will be this Saturday, April 27, at the 5:30 p.m. Mass. The Mass will be followed by pictures and a reception in the Parish Hall. Please plan on being here no later than 5:00 p.m. We will meet in the church narthex. The children may bring items to be blessed (rosary, prayer book, etc.), but the items should remain with the parents until after Mass. The children will sit together as a group and then rejoin their parents after the class photo.

Boys should wear a white tie, white shirt, dark pants, and dress shoes. No jacket may be worn during the Mass or group picture.

Please remember that the girls’ dresses must have sleeves. If the dress does not have sleeves, a sweater or shrug should be worn.

From Father Clair: Out of respect for the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrifice of the Mass, there is to be no photography during the Mass. A professional videographer will make a recording and you may purchase a copy of the DVD. Please let me know if you need another copy of the DVD order form.
