Tom Sawyer

Today we were treated to a production of Tom Sawyer. The Windy City Players gave a hilarious performance that had the students on the edge of their seats. The fourth graders, along with the sixth graders, were invited to be part of the show. They played the jury in the famous trial scene. The show includes improvisation and interaction with the audience. One of our third graders gave Tom advice on how to get Becky Thatcher's attention.

Individual School Pictures will be taken on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Students may wear their school uniform or they may dress in nice, church clothes: slacks and collared shirts, dresses, or skirts and blouses. No jeans or t-shirts. Pictures will be taken in the morning. All students will have their pictures taken, even if their parents choose not to purchase the pictures. Payment envelopes were sent home last week. Blessing of the Animals

In honor of the Feast of St. Francis, we will have our annual blessing of the animals tomorrow, Oct. 4th. Parents may bring a leashed or caged pet to the church plaza at 9 a.m. After the blessing, the pets must be taken home right away. For students who are unable to bring a live pet, they may bring a small- to medium-sized stuffed animal with them in the morning.
