Happy Easter to everyone and welcome back! I will be out of town this week, attending the National Catholic Educators Association Conference. In my place, Miss Truc will be teaching my class. Miss Truc is a
candidate, soon to be a novice, with the Sisters of Mary Queen, Sr.
Terry's order. She is also a certified teacher. She subbed for me in
October and she has been volunteering with the fifth grade all year. The
children know her and I am confident that they will enjoy the week with
her. In math, we will be taking a planned break from the Saxon math
lessons to review and practice our basic multiplication and division
facts. It is essential that the students have a good mastery of these.
Math homework for the week will focus on this for students who still
need to work on mastery and speed.
I
look forward to seeing everyone again next Monday. If you have any
questions or concerns, please email me and I will get back to you as
soon as I can. For more immediate needs, please contact Mrs. Harwerth in the school office (972-253-8284) or Sr. Terry (slcsau@yahoo.com) .
